Mode of Travel

We left Nashville in our F250 with rooftop tent on the cab and pulling a U-Haul trailer. We needed the trailer because our truck topper had not yet arrived.
While waiting for out topper to arrive in Seattle, we got a red loaner from the dealer. This worked nicely for awhile and it was nice to be rid of the trailer. I don’t think it looks too bad.

Here’s our truck with topper and rooftop tent up for camping. The tent sleeps two comfortably; one adult and two kids works well, too. At this point, we’re still setting up a tent on the ground for two of us.

Troy building a sleeping platform with storage underneath. This will allow us to all sleep without setting up a tent: 2 in the rooftop tent and 2 in the truckbed.
Oh my goodness! This looks like sooooo much fun! Eve Daniel Jackson gave me the link to your blog.
I can’t wait to share some of the pictures with the kids in our class. They are going to go NUTS!
We miss you Gretchen, but it looks like you are having a fabulous time! The rooftop tents looks really cool.
Yall be careful! Can’t wait to see where yall go next.

This roof top tent is wild. People have said we are crazy, but we are so not crazy. We are comfy in our sleep number bed in our temperature controlled rig. YOU ALLL are the real deal….!!
Not so crazy. We’re in a motel tonight. We’ve only camped about half the time. We’ve stayed in motels or cabins or bummed off WONDERFUL friends the other nights.
The roof tent is very comfy. I prefer it to the back of the truck.
Hope your school is off to a good start.
